Bully Room (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides a pet classifieds, social media, messaging, creator, and marketplace platform for pet owners, breeders, shelters, pet services, and pet lovers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use our website, web app, mobile apps, and related services.
Related Terms & Guidelines
This Privacy Policy works together with our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and any feature-specific rules shown in the app. The Terms form your contract with us; the Guidelines explain acceptable behavior and content.
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, username, profile type, profile details, avatar, cover image, preferences, settings, account status, login method, and authentication identifiers.
- Profile and pet data: pet profiles, listings, pedigree information, registration details, breed/type/category, photos, videos, descriptions, documents or proof you choose to provide, and related public or private fields.
- Content data: posts, listings, Tails videos, comments, replies, likes, reactions, reposts, shares, messages, reports, moderation records, saved items, follows, and other interactions.
- Messaging and communication data: direct messages, chat metadata, unread counts, call history, support requests, emails, reports, feedback, and future voice/video/live interaction metadata where those features are available.
- Usage, device, and diagnostics data: app events, pages viewed, features used, time of activity, IP address, device type, operating system, browser, app version, crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, and security events.
- Advertising and analytics data: advertising identifiers, app instance identifiers, cookie identifiers, SDK-generated identifiers, ad impressions, ad clicks, ad-unit interactions, and related measurement data where permitted by law and user consent choices.
- Location data: approximate location from IP address; if you grant permission, precise location may be used for distance, listings, map discovery, local alerts, pickup/delivery coordination, safety, or fraud prevention. Precise location access is optional and controlled through your device settings.
- Payment and transaction data: transaction status, listing/order identifiers, buyer/seller identifiers, deposits, payouts, refund/dispute status, pickup/delivery proof, payment-provider customer/account IDs, and limited payment metadata. We do not intentionally store full card numbers on our servers.
- Creator monetization data: monetization eligibility, ad-impression/click data, view data, creator balances, payout requests, ledger entries, tax/KYC status from payment providers, gift/tip activity where available, and fraud-prevention signals.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve Bully Room features.
- Create and manage accounts, profiles, pet profiles, listings, feeds, messages, notifications, comments, follows, search, and discovery.
- Personalize feeds, recommendations, listings, safety prompts, advertising, and user experience.
- Operate ads, measure ad performance, prevent invalid traffic, and support creator monetization where available.
- Process marketplace activity, Secure Checkout status, buyer/seller protection flows, payout eligibility, refunds, disputes, and fraud prevention where available.
- Analyze reliability, crashes, diagnostics, performance, engagement, growth, safety, and feature quality.
- Moderate content, investigate reports, detect spam, prevent fraud, protect users and animals, and enforce our Terms and Guidelines.
- Communicate with you about your account, support, policy updates, safety notices, security alerts, product changes, and service-related messages.
- Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, preserve records, protect rights, and enforce agreements.
Advertising, AdMob, Google ads, and consent
Bully Room may use Google advertising services, including Google AdMob, Google Ad Manager, Google AdSense, and related Google Mobile Ads SDK technologies, to show ads in the app and on the website. These services may use cookies, advertising identifiers, device identifiers, SDK-generated identifiers, IP address, app activity, ad interactions, and other information to provide, limit, measure, and improve ads.
Where required by law, including in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we may use a Google-certified consent management platform or Google consent tools to request and manage advertising consent choices. Depending on your location and choices, you may receive personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or limited ads.
You can manage ad personalization and consent choices where available through the consent message shown in the app, privacy options provided in the app, your browser or device settings, Google ad settings, or platform-level privacy controls.
Payments, Secure Checkout, app stores, and payouts
Payments, subscriptions, in-app purchases, Secure Checkout, deposits, creator payouts, Paw Gifts, tips, or other paid features may be processed by third parties such as Stripe, Apple, Google, banks, card networks, payout providers, tax/KYC providers, or other payment partners. Those providers may collect and process payment details, identity verification information, tax information, fraud signals, chargeback/dispute data, and payout information under their own policies.
We may receive limited information from payment providers, such as customer IDs, connected-account IDs, payment status, refund/dispute status, payout status, subscription status, purchased item identifiers, transaction amounts, fees, and timestamps. We use this information to provide paid features, show account status, process eligible payouts, prevent fraud, comply with law, and enforce our Terms.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, device identifiers, and similar technologies to operate the service, keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, prevent abuse, analyze traffic, show or measure ads, and support fraud prevention. You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings. Some app-based identifiers are controlled through your mobile device settings.
Sharing information
- With other users and visitors: public profiles, pet profiles, listings, posts, Tails, comments, public interactions, verification badges, and other public content may be visible to users or visitors.
- With service providers: vendors may help us provide hosting, databases, authentication, analytics, advertising, cloud storage, content delivery, maps, notifications, search, moderation, security, payment processing, customer support, email, and app operations.
- With payment and payout partners: payment providers may receive information needed to process payments, refunds, disputes, marketplace payouts, tax/KYC checks, fraud prevention, and compliance.
- With advertising and measurement partners: limited information may be shared to show, measure, limit, and improve ads, subject to applicable law and consent choices.
- With app platforms: Apple, Google, or other platform providers may receive information related to app installation, purchases, subscriptions, crash reports, diagnostics, notifications, or app-store compliance.
- For safety and legal reasons: we may disclose information when required by law, legal process, law enforcement, government requests, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, property, users, animals, or the platform.
- Business transfers: if Bully Room is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Your choices and controls
- Access, update, or delete certain profile information in the app.
- Request account or data deletion through the app where available or by contacting us.
- Control device permissions such as location, camera, photos, microphone, contacts, Bluetooth, and notifications through your device settings.
- Manage notification preferences in your account or device settings.
- Manage advertising consent choices where available in the app or website.
- Opt out of personalized ads where supported by your device, Google settings, browser settings, or applicable privacy laws.
- Adjust browser cookie settings for website-based cookies.
Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your account or certain personal information through available in-app tools or by contacting us at help@bullyroom.com. Some information may be retained when necessary for legal, safety, security, fraud prevention, payment processing, dispute resolution, tax, accounting, backup, moderation, enforcement, or legitimate business purposes. Public content that has already been shared, copied, indexed, cached, backed up, interacted with, or reposted may not always be fully removable from every location.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain accounts, support marketplace transactions and creator payouts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, protect animals and users, and maintain platform integrity. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and why it is kept.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no internet, mobile app, database, payment system, or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for using caution when interacting with other users.
International data processing
Bully Room operates from the United States and may use service providers located in the United States and other countries. Your information may be processed in countries with privacy laws that differ from those where you live. International users are responsible for complying with local laws when using listings, marketplace features, animal transport, payments, or communication tools.
Children
Bully Room is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. Do not use the service if you are under the minimum age required to use online services in your location. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without required consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Certain features may require a higher minimum age.
Third-party links and services
Bully Room may contain links to third-party websites, services, stores, ads, payment providers, app stores, social platforms, or content. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, policies, or actions of third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing information to them.
